norcal international dragon boat festival wrap-up & video

X-GENERALS and JAWS (we ❤ those kids) teamed up to bring some SoCal HEAT to the Northern California (formerly San Francisco) International Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA (Sept 17-18) this year. Tough competition showed up by way of teams from Chicago, Boston, and even a Philippines Alliance team.

XG/JAWS dug deep in a stroke for stroke paddle-battle and came away with a silver medal finish behind a very strong Phillippines team in the Recreational A division. X-Generals F20 continued to make progress by reaching the Competitive B division for the first time in our team's history, but ultimately missed out on a podium spot by just tenths of a second.

Of course, with X-Generals, getting hardware is always just a bonus. It's all about family, fun and fire. Throw in a healthy dose of laughter, and a few more mo'ments, and we just continue to rock on, and rock out. Until next year, NorCal - we'll be back with our eyes on the prize. #notdoneyet
